“Hustlers” And “It: Chapter Two” Win The Weekend Box Office

“Hustlers” is estimated to take home around $32 million this past weekend, marking the biggest opening of star Jennifer Lopez’s career. “Hustlers” follows a group of former strip club dancers, led by Lopez, who begin swindling their Wall Street clients for extra cash.  The film has earned rave reviews and also features Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Cardi B and Lizzo.

Despite its strong showing at the box office,, however, “Hustlers” is still set to come in second to “It: Chapter Two,” which is looking to take home around $40 million in its sophomore weekend.
