Pledge Drive Show – Great Music and Great memories

By Mike Seibert

Thanks to everyone who came out to the 2017 KGRG Sping Pledge Drive Show! Our annual benefit concert was a huge success and it was great connecting with new friends, as well as our fans that come out for us year after year. We appreciate the support!

Here are some fun posts from a great night of music and memories:

Things really heated up when our homies, Waking Things performed their iconic classic “Pretend” and their front man Chris invited a few fans up on stage to help sing out the closing chorus.

Now, I’ve been talking to you on the radio every week for two years, but I had never actually been on stage while a band was performing, let alone being asked to participate! It was an exhilarating experience and a great moment.

Intern Desmond even got a little bit of video…

These Young Fools closed out their set with a performance of their KGRG favorite, “A Nice Place to Visit”. It was a huge surprise when the band asked for Airhorn Elijah (BIG E!) and me to join them on the stage to jam out with them, and that’s now one of my favorite memories of things I’m been a part of during my time at KGRG. More than that though, I was thrilled to see how much fun my co-host Elijah was having and what that moment meant to him.

Cashing in Karma closed out the show is epic fashion!

Such a great time, thanks again to everybody who supports what we do, we appreciate it!

The 2017 KGRG Spring Pledge Drive may be over, but you can donate any time of the year. See below for more details as well as music from all of the incredible bands that donated their time, along with the amazing volunteers at Real Art Tacoma!
