Corbin L. White, Co-Host and News Anchor on THE BUZZ

Oh my god Marvel’s Daredevil is so fucking EPIC! Matt Murdock delivers parkour-influenced-Kung Fu upon all the baddies. It didn’t realize I was suffering from some form of action-show-violence-deficiency until I finally clicked on the blood dripping thumbnail of this Netflix Original. This comic book adaptation continues to exceed my expectations as a superhero lover each episode I watch. There’s no need for Skynet technology such as Netflix socks because sleep no longer qualifies as a bodily necessity after witnessing blind parkour. I’m also overjoyed to see (SPOILERS) Private Pyle from Full Metal Jacket get a break for once. Although at this point in the show his luck with the ladies reflects his ability to do a pullup. Perhaps some therapy for those door slamming mood swings would be beneficial in his quest? In all seriousness though I find myself pondering Wilson Fisk’s usefulness as a power player in Hell’s Kitchen’s crime ring (now square minus the headless Russian mob leader). It seems every moment in Season 1 so far he is on the brink of an emotional breakdown. Unlike his suit sporting assistant, Fisk has perpetual difficulty in maintaining his composure. Believe me, I know from personal experience that this isn’t fun nor productive in the workplace. Perhaps I’ll learn the secret to his follower’s devotion in the remaining episodes of this standalone season. Now I shall return to my immensely soggy bowl of Frosted Flakes® and continue my Marvel’s Daredevil binge for the remainder of this beautiful Sunday evening.
